Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Vemo IT Solutions Limited(“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information collected through this website. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles.

This policy covers this website only. Information you provide to us under a separate services agreement is governed by that agreement.

1. Information we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us, plus basic technical data needed to operate the site securely.

  • Enquiry form. When you submit the contact form we collect your first name, last name, email address, your message, and (if you provide it) your company name. Company name is optional; the rest are required so we can reply.
  • Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used to keep the site available and secure, not to identify you.

We do notask for sensitive information through this website. Please don't send passwords, financial details or confidential material via the enquiry form.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or service you asked about.
  • To follow up about a request you made (for example, a CIO for a Day session or a resource download).
  • To operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your enquiry details to add you to a marketing list without your consent, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

3. Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies at all, and runs no advertising or cross-site tracking scripts. That is why you are not seeing a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

We measure how the site is used with Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service, so we can see which pages are useful and improve them. Plausible is cookie-free and does not create any persistent identifier for you, so it cannot follow you between visits or across other websites. It does not collect or store information that identifies you personally.

To count a visit only once per day, Plausible generates a one-way hash from a salt that is rotated and deleted every 24 hours. Your IP address and browser user-agent are used only for a moment to produce that hash and are never stored. Plausible processes and stores this data on servers in the European Union. We only ever see aggregate figures such as page views, referring sites and countries: never an individual person.

We also count certain interactions in the same aggregate way: clicks on links that leave this site, file downloads, and the fact that the enquiry form was submitted. For the enquiry form this is a simple count of submissions. What you type into the form is never sent to or seen by Plausible; the contents go only to us, as described in section 1.

Fonts are served directly from this website rather than a third-party font service, so simply browsing does not share your details with a font provider.

4. Who we share information with

We only share personal information where it is necessary to run the site or where the law requires it. Our providers are:

  • Email delivery. Enquiries submitted through the form are delivered to our inbox by our email service provider.
  • Website hosting. The site runs on a third-party cloud hosting platform, which processes server logs on our behalf.
  • Analytics. Plausible Analytics provides the aggregate usage statistics described in section 3. It receives no personal information and stores the data in the European Union.

These providers may store or process data outside New Zealand. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected by comparable safeguards, as required by the Privacy Act 2020.

5. Storage, security and retention

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While we take care to protect your information, you send it to us at your own risk.

We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our ordinary business and legal record-keeping, after which they are deleted or de-identified.

6. Third-party links

This website links to third-party sites (for example our client portal and our application-security service). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.

7. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the timeframes the Act requires.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when published on this page, and the “last updated” date above will change. Please check back periodically.
